The Erban gallery is about everyday life.
What is Erban, it is a feeling, sound and looks of the world around me.
I walk down the street and look for items that are maybe old or falling apart. How those items are changing and how they become new and different. I then listen for sounds of animals and people, as well as the nature surrounding me.
Erban is the change of my environment from the decaying brick to the flowers that grow in the brick. It’s a feeling of change of culture and feeling.
I asked students for artwork that they enjoy to make because it sets off a feeling. Every person creates something different but each gave the artists a view of what is art. It just like Erban it is different for each person a feeling, sound or looks of a place. I like colors of rust and gray the things that are growing older and how new life springs from these items. The artist I choose gives me a feeling of change a new way of looking at everyday objects.
It likes Erban a feeling of change and growth as I find my place in the world that surrounds me everyday.
